Newbury welcomes return of horse racing with three-day restart fixture
A finalised order of running, as well as sponsorship details for this week’s three-day restart fixture has been announced.
Racing returns to Newbury Racecourse this Thursday (June 11) - behind closed doors.Newbury will host a season-opening three-day meeting - details of the cards are below. The meeting will begin on Thursday, 11 June with an afternoon fixture shown on Racing TV. This will be followed by an evening card on Friday, 12 June which will be broadcast on ITV4, with coverage that will include the Group 1 Irish 1,000 Guineas from the Curragh.
The three days conclude with an afternoon meeting on Saturday, 13 June which will also be covered by ITV4 and will include the transferred Group 3 Diomed Stakes from Epsom, plus two Listed contests - the Maggie Dickson transferred from Musselburgh and Newbury’s own Abingdon Stakes.
The three days have been made possible by MansionBet who take title sponsorship across all three days, and the European Breeders Fund (EBF) who have contributed to additional prize money.
