The Horse Trials is set in Wilton Park, overlooking Wilton House and the Palladian Bridge. All phases of the event are easily accessible and there are special disabled parking and facilities. There are always a good range of trade stands and multicultural food and drink.
This will be the 44th annual Wilton Horse Trials and the twenty-third for organiser, Anthony Ffooks: "I would like to acknowledge the amazing local support from businesses and volunteers of which there are over 150 for each day, without whose help Wilton Horse Trials would not be possible."
The trials attract a truly international range of competitors and has classes from BE 100 to Open Intermediate - typically around 550 competitors each year.
Anthony Ffooks is delighted to welcome Wiltshire Life as the first new title sponsor for 15 years: "It is great that they are a well-established and well-regarded Wiltshire based company and I look forward to a very fruitful association with them and being able to demonstrate that ‘horsepower’ is not only in cars!”
Jane Kennedy is publishing director of Wiltshire Life: “Wiltshire Life has been at the heart of the county for more than 70 years, therefore it seemed natural for us to sponsor this long-established traditional county event."
"We are delighted to support the Wilton Horse Trials, an event that attracts world class competitors alongside young and rising riders of the future, many based here in Wiltshire. We are looking forward to a weekend of sporting excellence and to meeting everyone attending the event.”
Wilton Horse Trials provides a family day out - there are generally more than 3,000 spectators over the weekend. For more information and a short video visit the Wilton Horse Trials website.
